Lizzy's Story...
Hmmmm. This should be easy… Let’s see, I don’t even know where to begin…I mean, where to start? There is soooo much to say, but I don’t want to come off sounding pretentious because I’m nothing of the sort…In fact, I’m quite thee opposite. I’m the down to Earth type…how about we just go over the basics? First off, I’m housebroken and I know many commands. Second I do great with other living creatures i.e. dogs and cats too. I’ve even lived with children! There really isn’t a lot to say that’s negative …so how about I just stop here and let you meet me yourself to make up your mind? Maybe I can be your valentine? 3 years old-45lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes; spay, microchip, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lizzy, a Portland Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Portland, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
