My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Lola. Poor Lola had just been dumped like trash in a field in Miami. She had been there for 2 days, possibly waiting for her worthless owners to come back for her!

A kind woman was in the area and went to check on her and bring her food and water. She very graciously offered to take Lola in for the evening to see how it would go and see if it she could possibly foster her for a time. Underdog agreed to take care of any medical issues, get her spayed and market her for adoption.
Lola, was bathed that evening by the kind woman and her friend. They picked off hundreds of fleas and gave her a soft place to rest her head.

We figured that Lola was very neglected in her short lifetime, we estimate her age to be just at 12 months, since she is very playful, inquisitive and energetic. She was most likely kept outside tethered, neglected and used for breeding purposes and not given any training or socialization. Can you imagine being a pup, and just wanting to play only to be neglected and alone? She has scars on her body and scar tissue around her neck from a choke collar being too tight. The vet also said she just had a litter a couple of months ago.

Unfortunately due to the foster mom's very busy schedule with 2 young and active girls they are not home enough to give Lola the time and attention she needs.

Lola is a lovely and gorgeous girl, she just needs some basic training to be acclimated to a home life. The poor girl has never had the good fortune of being well cared for. She would do well in a home with adults who have experience in setting boundaries, limitations and being leaders. She is good with children, but because of her size I think they should be older, 13 and up.
