Shania's Info...
| Breed: | Bengal | Color: | Brown Or Chocolate | Age: | Adult |
| Sex: | Female | ID#: | MB | Hair: | Short |
Shania is a Bengal and is a sweet cat who nuzzles when you pick her up and likes to sit with you. She likes to explore but learned quickly where she wasn't allowed to go but like any cat will still try. She is a talker and definitely has a mind of her own! If you like Bengal cats, this may be the cat for you!
Shania had been adopted from Stray Cat Blues in 2008 but was recently returned due to the litterbox issues. These issues are most likely due to her inflamed intestines and soft stools, possibly Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
She is taking medicine for this now and also has a prescription diet. She might need to be on the medicine for her lifetime. As of now she has been on the medicine for 10 days and her stools are better but still not completely normal.
To some degree her problems may also be her response to changes in her routine or a response when she doesnt like something. It may also be her trying to get attention because she has not had all the attention she wants. She would do well in a home where there is someone home during the day to interact with her. In a new home she will probably need a period of adjustment. So an adopter who is willing to work with her is important.
Shania got along well with both the dog and the children in her prior home. So we think she would be fine with other pets and children, so long as there is plenty of love and attention to go around!
Shania is considered a Special Needs cat. As such, there is no adoption fee for this beautiful sweet girl. We do still require that you submit an application and get approved. Shanias foster home would be happy to provide you more information on her situation and her medications and food. We would be happy to put you into contact if you email us at savingstrays@yahoo.com.
Shania is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. Her estimated date of birth is May, 2007.
Please consider giving this sweet Bengal another chance at a real home, with a family or person to love.

Rescue Group Info...
Officially, Stray Cat Blues, Inc. is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing rescue and placement to stray, abandoned, and feral cats. Personally, SCB is a small group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to find loving, life-long homes for cats. We are professional in our practices, but we are emotional on the subject of homeless cats, and the ways in which we humans can work to prevent this epidemic of strays.
Stray Cat Blues actively works to find permanent homes for the stray cats in our program. Our kittens and cats are exposed to the pet-loving public at our different adoption locations (see Come Meet our Pets section below) to facilitate adoptions and to provide visibility for our organization. Our cats can also be seen online at www.adoptapet.com.
Most of our cats offered for adoption are strays and their offspring that are rescued off the streets.
For those stray cats that are more wary of humans, especially feral cats, we can help humanely trap, sterilize and either return them if the area they live in is safe and they are being fed, or we house them and adopt them out as barn cats.
Thanks from the cats
and all of us at Stray Cat Blues!
