JD's Story...
Meet JD. He's a sweet boy who was abandoned and picked up by a good Samaritan. JD is a young golden mix, probably about 3-4 months old. This sweet boy is loving and playful, but like most pups will require work and training to help them become the perfect pet for a wonderful family. We are still learning more about JD, but if you are interested in adopting this sweet boy – please email us at forrescuetn@gmail.com for more information or an application.

JD’s adoption fee is $225 and includes his age appropriate vaccinations, neuter, microchip and he is current on flea and heartworm prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JD, a Knoxville Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
