Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sancho is two years old and was surrendered to the shelter in January 2011. He is smart, enjoys interacting with the handlers and knows sit and takes treat nicely. Sancho is generally friendly and enjoys petting but he does not tolerate restraint well and when fearful of something responds with typical Chihuahua feistiness. Sancho can be startled by loud noises and he seems to find most men intimidating. As such Sancho needs a child-free Chihuahua savvy home which is comfortable working with and managing his behaviors.
Please call the shelter 516-944-8220 during working hours (Mon. to Fri. 9AM-4PM; Sat. 10-4PM) for more information about Sancho, the adoption process at the shelter, and to confirm availability. Please go to www.theshelterconnection.com for more information about and directions to the shelter.
