Opal's Story...
Opal is a beautiful young lady with tortoiseshell markings. If you've seen the movie "How to Train Your Dragon," her face looks a little bit like Toothless the dragon! She was found as a stray and had some eye problems that had to be fixed up. Her right eye will probably be a little watery for the rest of her life, but it doesn’t hurt her or cause problems for her.
She loves to play with toys and is good buddies with her foster mom's cat. She is still learning to trust people, though. Opal would do best in a quieter home because she is shy, maybe as a friend for another cat or even as a barn cat. We think that with a little time and patience, she will make a great pet!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Opal, a Davis Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Davis, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
