CocoPuff's Story...
CocoPuff is a fabulous, loving, housebroken and obedience-trained, 5-year-old Am Staff/Boxer mix who urgently needs a foster/adoptive home as soon as possible. Her time has run out at the city shelter. CocoPuff did very well on her behavior tests and LOVES KIDS. Although coming into the shelter as a so-called, "stray" it seems that CocoPuff came from a home with children and was well cared for and loved. She loves people and even seems OK around other dogs. Because of her exceptional personality and temperament, Coco was pulled off the Euth list and has been on borrowed time at the shelter. But, as the shelter has gotten "slammed" with animals just before the Labor Day holiday weekend, ("Kids going back to school. No time for Fido or Fluffy.") Coco's cage at the shelter is now in jeopardy! Can YOU step forward to help save this wonderful dog? If so, please call us IMMEDIATELY at (212) 427-8273. The person who opens his/her heart to CocoPuff will be the lucky one indeed. She is truly special!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CocoPuff, a New York American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer for sale in New York, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
