Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello. Let me introduce myself. My name is Brigette. I am a true Southern Belle! I sometimes think I would have done far better to have lived on a large plantation with servants and a veranda with which to enjoy the balmy southern nights. I do not like to do any of the "doggie" things such as digging, wallering in the grass and heaven forbid I get my precious feet wet or dirty. I have true southern manners as any self respecting southern lady should have. I prefer not to associate with the likes of some of my fellow canine living companions, as they are so uncouth and NASTY! I simply prefer the company of older, kinder humans who will treat me in the manner to which I have become accustomed. I must admit, at one time I was badly treated, dumped at a horrid "pound" and allowed to become afflicted with heartworms! However, since my "rescue", I have been spayed, treated for my illness and learned true southern manners humans call obedience. I do like to have my own room, sometimes referred to by humans as a crate. I have impeccable manners inside, but I must admit at times I do forget myself and like to chew up toys. I am sure that must have come from my "black sheep" side! My foster mom says I am prissy and yet I do love to be petted and pampered. Small children really do not impress me...I am not privy to being pulled and tugged on. And as for other dogs, well, I must say I have met some really illbred rowdy types in my life and would just prefer to sit alone with my human family. If you are looking for a loving, gentle and well mannered southern lady, well, then please do give me the opportunity to show you the finer qualities of my breed. I am ever so grateful to this chance to introduce myself to you. If you would like to contact me, please feel free to call or e-mail my foster mistress Terre Hall. I presently reside with her in Florida.
