WE ARE A SMALL RESCUE, OVERWHELMED BY THE NUMBER OF DOGS WE HAVE IN OUR FOSTER PROGRAM AND ARE UNABLE TO ANSWER OR CALL UNTIL WE HAVE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION.
Buddy is a 2 1/2 year old neutered male who was purchased off of craigslist about a year ago. He was brought into a home with another dog...you guessed it, they didn't like each other. After a year of breaking up fights the family was at their wits end. Since Buddy was the smaller of the 2 dogs, he got most of the trauma. If you look closely at on of our photos, you can see a facial wound that was inflicted the night before surrender.
Buddy loves humans and is even great around smaller children but because of his size we would caution against adoption with children under 6.
Buddy was admitted to our program with an open wound on the left side of his face, skin and ear infections. He also had significant hair loss over his back. Scrappings for Demodex were negative. He is getting better and regrowing fur on his back with oral antibiotics.
He is heart worm negative, neutered and now UTD on shots.
As would be expected after a year of brutality, Buddy doesn't enjoy the company of other dogs. We are working on leash training.
