My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*******IMPORTANT****** IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ONE OF OUR DOGS PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE AND FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. AFTER WE HAVE AN APPLICATION ON FILE WE WILL COMMUNICATE SPECIFICS ABOUT THAT PARTICULAR DOG. WE ARE A SMALL RESCUE, OVERWHELMED BY THE NUMBER OF DOGS WE HAVE IN OUR FOSTER PROGRAM AND ARE UNABLE TO ANSWER OR CALL UNTIL WE HAVE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION.
This poor boy was finally surrendered to animal control after 3 years of neglect . Within the last 3 months he had been at animal control twice, picked up as a stray and was hospitalized after being hit by a car.
We have all vet records from the time he was purchased. After about 6 months, all vet comments stated DECLINED CARE. Caesar has suffered with bilateral cherry eye, eye infections and ear infections, left untreated for 3 years. He also has undescended testicles which were never addressed. Fortunately Caesar found his way to GEBR and will get the care that has been recommended so many times.
Currently, he is with our vet for treatment of multiple infections, including a nasty shelter acquired respiratory infection. He will undergo Cherry eye repair and neuter as soon as he is medically stable.
He does seem to have some difficulty hearing, this could be a result of the infection. Hopefully much of this will resolve with proper treatment.
We do know that Caesar does well with other dogs. Unsure of Cats. He is very gentle and should do well with older children(over 12). Caesar is 3 1/2 years old

Update: Caesar will only be placed with older children, he plays a little too rough for toddlers at this point. He has come a long way from the sever neglect he suffered at the hands of his former owners. After multiple surgeries and multiple courses of antibiotics to battle long standing infections, he is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL young male. It's taken us 7 months to get him to this point...we couldn't be more proud of the progress he's made. The last 2 photos are before photos.
Caesar is a bit OCD about his blanket and loves riding in the car.
He does have dry eye and will require twice a day eye drops for the rest of his life. 6 week supply is about $36.00.
