This adorable pup, Ripley, was surrendered along with several of his sibling to Animal Control because his owners had too many dogs and could not care for them properly. His siblings were all rescued by different rescues and Ripley and his brother were the last two left behind as there was no foster space available. They were going to be put to sleep on Wednesday when the vet came to the shelter but one of the brothers in his infinite sweetness got up the nerve to kiss the shelter president on the cheek that morning when she was meeting the vet. As a result, this little boy bought him and his brother a little more time. Finally, Ripley and his brother made it to safety.
Ripley is a small boy, he weighs around 30-35lbs and looks like the designer breed of a miniature German Shepherd. He is probably going to weigh around 40lbs, fully grown. Ripley is around 7-9 months old, still a puppy. His coat is black, shiny and shorter (less shedding) and he has a very sleek, elegant appearance. He has a white medallion on his chest, which can happen with shepherds. He has gorgeous, big, brown eyes. Right now he is scared in the big world without his siblings, but is coming around nicely in his foster home. He would do best in a quiet home where he can get a lot of love and attention.
He will be neutered next week after he settles in a little. Ripley is up-to-date on his shots, heartworm negative and on prevention.
