Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please say hello to Miss Maizy! Maizy loves to be loved, and she loves to be next to you. What Maizy would really love is to have someone in her family that will follow her around and pet her all the time. Maizy also loves bunnies! The resident bunny at her foster home keeps her very entertained. So Miss Maizy does have a good hunting instinct, but she has never had any formal training.
Maizy also loves treats. She will do almost anything for you if you give her a treat! She is housetrained and is working on learning all the house rules at her foster home. So far she is an excellent student and is doing very well. Maizy loves to go for walks, and she is trying to be a good dog on the leash. She still pulls a little bit, but this is mostly because she is so excited about going for a walk!
Maizy is good with other dogs, but she may have trouble with another alpha dog, because she likes to think of herself as the queen! She does a little "talking," so her new family will need to help her know that her humans are in charge. Maizy loves car rides as well as looking out the windows of her foster home. She likes to watch the world go by, and she especially enjoys checking out the bunnies! It would be best to have a fenced yard for Maizy to run and play in. Maizy does not like thunderstorms, but she is learning to love comforting hugs from her foster mom.
Maizy is very good in the house. She will go into a kennel, although she really doesn't need to do so most of the time. Maizy does not chew, and she is a very happy dog. Maizy would do best in a home with children over the age of twelve. She is a somewhat older girl, but with her love of life and her activity level, you would never know it. She still needs a fair amount of exercise. Maizy recently had surgery for cancer in her mammary glands, and the vet is confident that he got it all. She will need to be checked about every three months to make sure no more tumors develop.
Maizy is a very sweet dog and is becoming a great Springer in her foster home. Her foster mom and dad will miss her very much when she finds her Forever Home. If you would like to know more about her and find out if you are the right family to give all your love to Miss Maizy, please contact us right away!
Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Maizy.
