Here's what the humans have to say about me:
KayCee is a gorgeous 2yo Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix female. She's a stocky 40lbs and even though she can appear to be laid back and lazy, she's got a NOS button hidden under her soft, curly coat! KayCee has excellent house manners and settles down very well. She will lay at your feet and nap and follow you around the house. She does not appear interested in getting up on the furniture. She will jump up when invited, but doesnt stick around too long. She'd rather hang on the floor. KayCee has pretty pricked ears and a docked tail. Her coat is so soft and her curls give her a very unique look! Her fuzzy butt wiggles anytime she's happy! KayCee is likely the result of a double merle breeding, which has left her deaf. But her eyesight is fine and she gets along like any normal dog! KayCee gets along fine with most other dogs, though she seems to think she needs to be the alpha. I dont think she was taught much social behavior prior to coming into New Spirit, but she's learning. She is currently fostering with 5 other dogs and as long as she is kept in check by her foster mom, she does wonderful with all of them. She loves to play and wrestle with the resident Corgi! She is even good with the cat! KayCee gets along well with dog savvy children. She is housebroken and crate trained and doesnt bark in her crate. In fact we rarely hear a peep from her! She does not appreciate other dogs getting near her food dish, but is fine when humans take the bowl or food from her. She's got a natural herding ability and could really flourish if given a job of herding stock! KayCee's current form of structured exercise consists of daily walks and runs next to a bicycle. She caught on to this extremely quickly! She has excellent leash manners and doesnt pull. KayCee has shown no problems with chewing, so she could be left in the house uncrated for periods of time. She's a very well behaved girl, but needs a willful owner. KayCee is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She is also current on Frontline and Interceptor. KayCee is fostering in Blooming Prairie, MN.
