Kricket's Story...
This litter of 6 arrived recently from a kill shelter in KY that was out of room ~ We think they can be a mix of Australian Shepherd/Border Collie/and possibly some lab in a few ~ They are about 10 weeks old ~ up to date with vaccinations ~ and have already been microchipped ~ They are all very friendly pups and are getting along with everyone in their foster home... dogs, cats, and kids ~ We do suggest you do some research on the herding breed as they do require more exercise than an average house dog and a fenced in yard would be ideal ~ *Kricket weighs about 11lbs*
~~~Please email rescue-me@earthlink.net for an application to be emailed to you to submit for possible approval ~~~
Puppies require a lot of time for housebreaking, training, and socializing. Therefore it is in the best interest of the puppies that they be adopted by families where someone will be home most of the day ~ Thank you for understanding!
Why Adoption is a Great Option
Kricket, a Milford Australian Shepherd/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie for sale in Milford, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Milford.
  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Border Collie breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
