This striking Akita-girl was sent to Rawhide Rescue after we got an urgent call from a shelter. It seems Gabby's time was up and she was going to have to be put down. But, they desperately wanted to save her, as all the shelter workers had fallen in love with her! Lucky for Gabby and us they did, because she is an absolute love and will make someone a great companion. Gabby is gentle, loving, gives the best kisses and even doesn't seem to mind cats! As she is a BIG girl and hasn't had much training, she will need someone who has the experience and time to work with her.
When Gabby arrived, she stunk badly so a nice, long bath was a must. She was very accommodating, climbed right into the tub and allowed herself to be sprayed and lathered, then rinsed off. What a difference that made!
