My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

So, you want a puppy but you dont want to have to do the house-training and go through the "naughty puppy" stage. What to do?? Well, meet Calhoun, he could well be the Basset for you. At 18 months to 2 years of age Calhoun is still plenty puppy enough to keep you amused, however, he's also house-trained (using a doggie door) and is willing to learn whatever it takes to please you.

He needs some work with basic concepts, like only eating out of his own dish, but he's so sweet and friendly that no-one seems to mind his occassional lapse of manners. Calhoun was evaluated by a professional at the Shelter he came from, and has a written report card saying what a good boy he is, and that he can be trusted with children. He is very busy though and may knock very small children over, but if he did he would lick them better! Because of his age, Calhoun must go to a home with at least one other similarly active playmate.
