Kaycee's Story...
Hi- I'm KayCee and I am one lucky kitty. Not long ago, it was a different story. I had been someone's pet and then I was left behind to fend for myself. I took refuge under a barn, searching for anything to fill my tummy. It wasn't until I was skin and bones (less than 5lbs), when I decided to venture out from under the barn and look for someone to feed me like before. A nice lady took care of me for a couple months, took me to the vet, got me all healthy (I was already spayed) and found this wonderful adoption group called For Peetey's Sake. I will never again be hungry or cold, and hopefully soon find a wonderful permanent home. I am a little timid, but this is all new to me. I am a sweet, beautiful girl with gorgeous green eyes. I am probably about 5-6 yrs old. I am okay with another laid back cat, older, calm kids and small dogs that like kitties.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kaycee, a Houston Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
