My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

From Chip's foster family: Chip is a beautiful dog who is not quite two years old. He is so good with our three-year-old daughter and newborn son as well as with other children. Chip could benefit from some more socialization with other dogs. Right now he likes to bark at most of them, but he is friends with a small dog in another household. Chip is neutered and completely housetrained. He knows basic commands, but he could use some more obedience work. This sweet boy has so much potential for someone who will spend the time to train him.

Chip loves his people, so he wants to be in the same room with them. (That's why we call Springers Velcro dogs!) He is so loving and well-mannered. He will do best with someone who is home a lot of the time.

Although Chip is an indoor dog, he enjoys spending a good amount of time outside, when it is warm, in the fenced back yard. He is a ball of energy! He needs daily exercise to burn off this energy and help him stay calm and relaxed. If you are a runner, he would be a good running companion. This handsome boy will be a wonderful addition to the right family. Is that family yours?

Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.

Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Chip.
