My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shania – is a very beautiful black lab mix and is about 6 to 7 years old. She came to us from a very high-kill shelter, which was no place for such a sweet girl like her. How she got there, we don’t know, but it was not the place for her. She is of average size weighing about 55 to 60 lbs. and has the sweetest personality ever. Shania loves everyone and everyone falls in love with her. She of course loves treats and belly rubs and hugs and just hanging around her people. She loves being close to her foster mom and just wants to be by her side or laying at her feet and gets so excited when she is being talked to and told what a good girl she is. She gets along great with her foster brothers and sisters and likes romping and playing in the yard and is also best buddy with the resident kitty. Shania is on the timid and shy side especially in new situations, but is working on that and making progress. She would make a wonderful companion for the single person or empty nesters looking for a loving companion who has lots of love to give. Shania is spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and micro-chipped. She is also on flea and tick preventative and heartworm preventative.
