Fiona's Story...
Fiona and Shrek were turned in at the shelter when their elderly owner was not able to keep them any longer. Fiona is very quiet and sweet and we believe she is a senior dog (10-12 yrs old ?) She weighs 9 lbs. Fiona has had a dental and been vetted and is ready to go. Her fur is tangle free and she was a good girl for grooming. She walks with quite a little bit of stiffness from arthritis and is very sweet and quiet, like a typical older pooch she enjoys watching everyone from the comfort of her cushy doggy bed. She needs a great retirement home! She is great with dogs and cats and she is housebroken. Fiona and Shrek are very attached to each other and we are really hoping we will be able to place them in a home together. We will discount their adoption fee in order to help this happen for them.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiona, a Spring Valley Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Spring Valley, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Spring Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spring Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spring Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spring Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
