Baby Regis's Story...
This is Baby Regis and Baby Rosco, they are two male wirehaird Dachshund mix puppies. Roscoe is the black and tan one and Regis is the golden brown. They were found as strays running around a neighborhood. Don't you just love the ears? The nice lady could not find their owners so she turned them into the shelter. They are only around 8 weeks old (Feb 20th) and tip the scales at 3lbs. They are good with other pooches, children and cats. Of course they just love to play, sleep, eat and then play some more! They are very happy little fellows and would love to have their very own forever home. They are too young to be neutered so we will give you information on a low cost neuter and when you have that done when they are around 6 months old, we will refund you $50.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby Regis, a Staunton Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
