My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Please note: we do not have a physical location, we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.**

Badger is a 5-year-old Beagle who was an owner surrender because his owner traveled extensively on business and could no longer keep him.

Badger lived with a 2 year old boy in his previous home. His previous owner said Badger is not a barker or digger. He doesn't chew on things. He is house broken, good with other dogs, loves children and is fine with cats. When he needs to go out, he touches the back door with his paw!

This amazing boy is now in Maine and here is what his wonderful foster has to say: "When we got home last night we went for a nice walk. His nose was busy taking in all the new smells. We brought him in the house and explored everything with him. Give him a little water and some chicken & rice. Walked him again around 10 and put him in his crate. He did cry a bit but stopped when he was told to.

Got up this morning and took him out for a walk. Came back in and gave him breakfast. He sat when I asked him too and gave me his paw. We then went for a long walk. When he needs to go out he really does go to the dog and paw the door!

We went for another long walk this afternoon. Meet another neighbor walking his dog. They greeted each other with no issues. And then another neighbor stopped to meet Badger. He was full of love for them. He hopped right into their car and showered them with kisses! Any way.... just wanted to let you know he is a love.

Badger is doing well in our home and we are enjoying him very much. He is GREAT with our daughter!

He likes to go for car rides too. I've brought him on two quick errands and he was perfect in the car. He goes for lots of walks with us and he starts off excited and pulls a bit, then he calms down and walks great on the leash.

During the day he stays in his crate, but at night he sleeps on a dog bed in our bedroom. He stays in bed until someone gets up. He is super!"

We would love to find this handsome boy a loving home to call his own. Please visit our web site to find out about our adoption process.
