My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Please note: we do not have a physical location, we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.**

Hello my name is Drake. I am a very sweet shepard/terrier mix. I'm about 3 years old and 55 lbs. I am part shepherd, part terrier, all cuddly lover boy! Story has it I didnt have a good start to life. My owners left me outside tied up to a rope when a big rainstorm came through. Luckily, I was able to break free and find shelter! After wandering around for a few days without a good home to go back to, a nice man helped me and was able to get me into a rescue. I feel so lucky!

My dream home would have a nice family with a back yard for me to watch squirrels and run around. I love adults and kids and I get along great with other dogs. I am potty trained and know how to use the doggy door. I am pretty big and you would think I would want to run around playing all day, but secretly, I love to just lie on the couch and watch what's going on around me. My M.O. is sitting on the couch with my two front legs crossed. I do it all the time and it makes my foster mom's heart melt!! Dont get me wrong, I love to play! My favorite game is to play chase with my four legged foster brother before a long nap. My looks and low bark may trick you to think I would make the perfect guard dog. But as soon as you get close to me, you will realize I am a gentle giant with not a mean bone in my body. I am really just the perfect companion for you!

Drake is currently located in the south and we would love to find him a loving home in the northeast. Please visit our web site to find out about our adoption process. Thank you for considering rescue!
