Shadow's Story...
Shadow is a sweet boy. He was born in approximately January, 2010. He came to us with a severe injury in his left hip. He was most likely hit by a car. The vet was able to do a FHO surgery (Femoral Head and Neck Osteotomy) which removed the damaged joint and allows the leg to form a false joint instead. He is healing well and his hair is growing back in, slowly but surely. He has a bit of a limp right now, but with time, he will be almost like new. He is very friendly and likes to play. With a little adjustment time, he does well with other cats and would adjust to cat friendly dogs. He is good with gentle children. He deserves a wonderful "forever" home of his own...can it be with you?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Muncie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Muncie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Muncie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Muncie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Muncie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Muncie paves the way for another one to be saved.
