Handsome Puma is a Black Lab/Shepherd mix who actually lived a "normal" dog life in a home where he used to lounge on the couch, watch T.V., and get lots of walks with his dad before tragedy hit. Puma’s owner lost his home, and so with broken heart, he took Puma to the public shelter, but he didn’t know that Puma would get killed there. Fortunately, after months of being at the pound, one of Puma’s neighbors found out what had happened and immediately went to rescue him. Although Puma is safe, he has been in boarding for over one year and he is depressed, because he misses being in a home environment and is not used to living in a kennel. Puma is a sweet, affectionate, loyal boy who loves to be active. Although he’s age 7, Puma still has lots of energy and would make a great running/hiking partner. He also likes to play and goof around. Puma is a smart dog and is eager to learn new things. He can be quite the charmer and is a beautiful boy! Puma is very people-oriented and would be fine with older children. He is house-broken and prefers to be an only pet. Please give a chance to meet this soft hearted boy who would love nothing more than to have a home that he can call his own once again.
