Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our very sweet Merlin was diagnosed with OCD of the upper left shoulder femur. He had his orthopedic surgery April 19th to make repairs at Shelby Center. He's doing very well and recooperating. He has a check up on May 4th and his prognosis is very good. Merlin was released from the Doctor today!! Doing great!!
Merlin was thrown out of a vehicle along with his sister back in January. Both dumped out of a moving vehicle in front of our local shelter like they were trash. Save 1 Pet pulled both dogs in February since the shelter filled up and they would have been euthanized. Jo Jo was adopted by one of our volunteers but Merlin remained in foster care. He was limping and seemed to be in pain at times. After several evaulations it was determined that surgery would be an option to help him be pain free.
Our vet bills for Merlin now total $1,600 and we just can't afford this without your help! We are all volunteers and work out of our homes. We have no facility and none of us are paid to do the work we do. All fosters are in our homes. If you are able to help Merlin we all would appreciate your donations! It makes it possible to help special needs dog like Merlin! Your donations are fully tax deductible too! We all know he's worth it and we hope you feel the same about Merlin.
We are selling t-shirts for $10 to help with raising funds for Merlin. There are several styles to choose from in various sizes. So that's only 160 t-shirts that we need to sell! You can make it happen!
We sold some of the T-shirts and took in some donations as well! Sitll have a good ways to go to cover all his vet bills but at least a portion is covered. Just another $700 to go!!!!! YEAH!!
The two new pics are Merlin at his first day out from surgery several weeks ago. He came for a visit at PetSmart on WInchester at our adoption day May 7th and Petco Collierville May 14th! It was so good to see him! Stop by at our next adoption day and meet this sweet young dog.
Save 1 Pet is a 501 C 3 approved charity committed to helping homeless animals. We don't have a facility (shelter) but work out of our homes and foster the animals until they can find a forever home.

Please be advised that for all adoptions, we will conduct reference checks, including veterinary references. Our adoption fee for dogs is $95 which includes spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccines, worming and heartworm/flea/tick prevention.
For dog adoptions, we do conduct fence verifications.
When adopting an animal, you will be asked to complete our Adoption Contract.
