Joey's Story...
Joey may be the most gentle pup on the planet right now. This goodhearted little soul is people loving, calm, and wonderful. His eyes are rather unusual, a light olive color, they resemble human eyes. He enjoys the attention of the older pups, dogs and cats at his foster home. He thinks cuddling up next to them is the nicest place to sleep. Crate trained, started on housetraining, Joey would love to have a gentle family to dedicate himself to for a lifetime. Abandoned by a highway with no visible houses, a caring Texan stopped to pick him up. We believe he is a lab mix - his lovely personality is quite the hallmark of the breed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joey, a New Milford Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in New Milford, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in New Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
