Yoko's Story...

Hi!  I'm Yoko!

I came to the shelter as a stray. I was picked up with Kota. We both had collars, but no tags on, and our owner was never located. I am submissive with humans and am great with people. I do well with other dogs, however, I am dominant, so I need to be placed with the right dog. I ignore cats. I am crate and house trained. I also walk AMAZING on a leash, and I heel very well. I like to be petted and enjoy spending time with humans. If you would like more information about me or my friend Kota, please email the shelter and put my name as "Yoko-Hazel Park". I would love a forever home. Could my new home be with you?

My adoption fee of $150 includes my heartworm test; current vaccines; spay/neuter & microchip!

If you would like to meet me, please complete our online adoption evaluation form and ask for me by name! You'll be glad you did!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yoko, a Warren Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Warren, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Warren.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warren already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warren breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warren paves the way for another one to be saved.
