My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Butter's mom, Judy, was a street dog in Arkansas. She has the scars on her face, the buckshot in her abdomen and the shattered bullet in her hind end to prove what a hard life she's had. Judy had a 6 month old pup hanging around with her. The duo found a junkyard where workers would throw them food and be nice to them so they kept coming back. In time, it was noted that Judy was pregnant (again). A local shelter worker was able to capture the pair, found out that Judy was heartworm positive and many emails later, got them to rescue with RCCR. the 6 month old pup is in her forever home already. Judy is the sweetest dog ever and her pups seem like they have inherited their mom's personality. Judy had her puppies in rescue on January 9, 2011 - safe, warm, clean, comfortable and with a full belly. She has been a wonderful mom. As of this writing, March 7, 2011, the pups are 8 weeks old and can start going to their adoptive homes in 2 - 4 weeks. Interestingly, each pup has completely different markings than the others. There's something for everyone! Dottie is nearly all white with a few black spots and black ears. Judy weighs 25 pounds with a thin build so we are guessing that her pups will be in the 25 - 35 pound range. They all weigh 5ish pounds each right now. We are also guessing at their breed mix. All pups will be neutered or spayed, up to date on all shots, on heartworm prevention (the fact that their mom is hw+ won't affect the puppies since they are in preventive), well wormed and microchipped. Her adoption fee will be $250.
