Dozer's Story...
UPDATE 3/29: Dozer now weighs in at over 20 lbs. He is a hefty boy with an adorable tail wiggle you just have to see! He LOVES playing with other dogs and is very affectionate with people. He is also doing FANTASTIC at potty training. He is almost 3 months now and waiting for that perfect home to come scoop him up.

Dozer was named for two reasons - as a puppy when he was bottle fed he would doze off immediately after eating unlike his sister and he has been a very chunky fellow from the get go reminding us of a Bulldozer. Dozer has a very sweet and calm personality for a puppy. He tries to keep up with the big dogs and his sister when playing, but his body structure just isn't made to run fast. He hops along a behind them as happy as can be. He is very smart and is doing WONDERFUL at potty training at only 7 weeks old. He cries to go potty outside rather than making a mess. Anytime he wants attention or food he sits up straight and just stares at us. Doesn't make a peep. His cute little eyes say it all and we scoop him right up! He is going to make a wonderful dog for someone, is that someone you??

Dozer was 4 days old when his mother died leaving her and her 5 siblings orphans. We learned of the situation and our foster homes stepped up to the challenge of bottle feeding these darlings. They are extra loving and affectionate since they were bottle fed so young.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dozer, a Greensboro Labrador Retriever/Shar Pei puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shar Pei for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shar Pei puppy from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shar Pei breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
