My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Kachina and I became part of the wonderful Basset Rescue on 9/24/06. I was born on 7/16/05 and spent most of my first 14 months outside with my basset brother. We were housed in a 4' x 6' kennel outside with just a simple tarp to help keep out the heat. Each morning we were sprayed down with the hose to keep us cool, but anyone who lives in Arizona knows that won't last to long. So, needless to say we jumped at the chance to be "rescued" and now we are living in the lap of luxury. I heard today that my sweet brother has already found his forever home.

I am a tri-colored basset that weighs in at less than 40 pounds (don't forget the camera adds 5 pounds, so I might look a little bigger). I get along great with my 2 foster basset siblings. I do okay with small children and just love my foster mom and dad. I am totally house trained and have good manners. I love to go for walks and rides in the car. I have been spayed, microchipped and brought up to date on my shots. I take my food like a lady (no scarfing it down like others I know) and share my toys with anyone who wants to play.I am pretty active and would be happiest in a family with other doggies or kids to keep me entertained.
