Xena turned 4 years old in June. This is a lovely, sweet girl who got stuck with people that just discarded her on the streets of Detroit! Some other people helped her but couldn't keep her permanently. Xena is a very dominant female so we think she might do best as an only dog. We suspect this is because she probably had some nasty fights when she was out on the street. She is a very affectionate girl.
Note: We are an all volunteer organization and will not respond to brief e-mail requests for more information about a dog. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out and submit our
online application. Vet and personal references will be checked and a home visit is required.
Also, a minimum 5' high fenced yard is required to adopt any of our dogs and invisible fences are NOT acceptable.
All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm tested, on heartworm preventative year-round, and microchipped for identification.
