My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweetie is a tiny 9 lb., approximately 8 year old, Shih Tzu or Lhasa-Tzu mix, just as sweet as her name! She would make a great companion friend - loves to go with you everywhere, will sleep by your side, and longs for belly rubs! Sweetie came to us from a New York kill shelter very matted and with a bad case of flea dermatitis, which is responding to medication nicely after having to have her completely shaved down. She'll go back to being her beautiful self when her hair grows back in! She also had a rather large tumor under her front leg that went all the way to her belly. It was removed last week at the same time as her spay procedure, biopsied, and, thankfully, found to be benign. Sweetie has also been diagnosed with a minor grade 2 heart murmur and has been put on inexpensive medications as a prophylactic measure - so we consider her to be a Special Needs dog. We have set up a fund to try to recoup some of Sweetie's medical bills as they were quite high from all the tests and surgeries - donations can either be mailed or sent through Paypal on our website (www.asian-dog-rescue.org). Sweetie will gratefully thank all donors personally! She is being fostered in central NJ and her asking adoption fee is $175.
