April's Story...
This B&W beauty has a colorful personality. Outgoing, playful and inquisitive, she wants to interact and meet everyone. April is addicted to boxes -- tall boxes, match boxes, Costco boxes, shoe boxes -- you name it and she wants to sit in it. Her cute little white paws are often visible poking under a door, curious about what lurks beyond. She loves to sit on windowsills like a pretty potted plant and can not wait for someone to take her home . April was born in 2010.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

April, a Chicago Oriental cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Oriental for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Oriental cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Oriental breeders who help with Oriental rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
