Merryl's Story...
Merryl is a 2-3yr old Border Collie/Australian Shep mix. She is 43lbs and is full grown. She has a GORGEOUS coat of black wavy fur and has the best personality to go with her beauty! She has bobbed tail like most Aussies do, but has all other characteristics of a border collie. She is VERY loyal to her people and is fabulous with kids! She gets along with other dogs, but doesnt' seem to want to play with them....she loves to lay next to her person! She is very eager to please and would be a great addition to any family! She is completely housebroken, spayed, microchipped and current on all vaccines. Adoption application at www.hope4paws.com and can be emailed to Molly at hallamart@sbcglobal.net. Adoption fee of $275 covers her vetting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Merryl, a Plainfield Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Plainfield, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Plainfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
