Nigel's Story...
Hello my name is Nigel! I'm about 3 years old. My owner took care of me the best she could until she passed away then the next thing I knew I was tossed out to fend for myself. I was so scared and got beat up often by the other cats in the neighborhood. Finally someone was kind to call to get me some help. I'm a quiet boy so not much trouble at all to care for me. I'm glad I was helped but oh how I hate living in a cage. I'm miserable! I like to sun myself but can't do that right now. I love everyone here at the shelter but there's nothing like a home of your own. I can't say I jump out at people that come to see all of us here. I tend to bury my face in the blanket and stay like that pretty much all day. I'm a good boy. I like to be pet and I will love you back watch my video to see.

Act quickly to adopt Nigel. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nigel, a West Warwick Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in West Warwick, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in West Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
