Mei Li's Story...
Mei Li is a recent rescue from a shelter. She is appx 6 years old. She is a big peke. She weighs 18 pounds. She has a beautiful red coat. She is a sweet-tempered and gentle teddy bear who loves to snuggle. She is quite comfortable with anyone who comes to visit. She will climb right up in your lap.She is a little shy with men but she warms up quickly. She loves to play ball and loves toys. She has not started to play with her foster dogs yet but we are sure she will as soon as she gets more comfortable in her foster home. She is just about house broken. She did great with the neighborhood kids. She can leap over a baby gate and jump up on furniture. She loves going on walks. She is very devoted and will lay at your feet or follow you around the house.

Mei Li's adoption fee is $300. She is up to date on all her medical and is also micro chipped. If you think Mei Li could be your fur ever pet please complete our online application. The application must be completed before you can meet her. We adopt in Va/Md/Dc. We require a vet reference and home visit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mei Li, a Virginia Beach Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
