Maximus's Story...
Meet gorgeous Maximus! Maximus is a fantastic dog who was previously adopted through MRR. Max is losing his home due to foreclosure. Here is what his heartbroken owner had to say about him: "Max is a one of a kind dog. True to the Rottie Breed, hip checks, kisses and at your side no matter where you are. Max does get along with other dogs, I have to say that if the dog is of a hyper nature that would not be a good match. He prefers an older/calmer buddy. He loves to play catch, burry his bones in the backyard, and give kisses whenever they are wanted. He is not a constant barker, but will let you know when he hears something out of the ordinary. The loveseat is his favorite spot, loves belly rubs. Walks on the leash with minimal correction. When I stop at the curb to cross the street he sits next to me until I start to walk again." Max is crate and house trained. Although he hasn't lived with cats his owner believes he would chase one given the chance so a home without any cats would be the best match for Max. Hurry and apply to adopt this handsome man!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maximus, a Rexford Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Rexford, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Rexford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rexford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rexford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rexford paves the way for another one to be saved.
