Buddy's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Buddy's Story...
Buddy is a very handsome heeler (Australian cattle dog) that just loves to go for horseback rides and long hikes in the woods. Unlike most heelers Buddy stays out front as "scout" instead of hanging back bothering your horse. He is also very protective of his people so he would make a great companion for a single rider or hiker looking for a bit of security while on outings. Buddy gets along great with other dogs. He LOVES car rides so if you ever wanted a super loyal, very active shotgun rider Buddy is the dog for you!

Buddy is living on a small ranch outside of Bend, Oregon and is neutered, micro chipped and is up to date on his vaccinations. He is approximately one year old and his adoption fee is $150.00. We recommend Buddy go to a ranch or country home with children 10 years or older. If you are interested in Buddy, please complete an application from our website at www.allfordogsrescue.com. * Please note that Buddy is fostered in Bend, OR.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Portland Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
