Butch's Story...
Meet Butch. If you know this breed, you know that fierce proud face
hides the heart of a great big clown. Absolutely a sweet, loving,
funny dog whose owners were faced with the inability to pay veterinary
fees. Butch suffered from an arrythmia - an irregular heartbeat that
required a short but hospital stay to correct the
heartbeat and began medications (Digoxin, Lasix and Diltiazem
about $30 or less from Walmart per month). He is approximately 140lbs
of huggable love. We know he won't live forever, but if you are
willing to open your heart and home to give him a wonderful life, he
will return the favor. Butch would be fine with most other dogs,
except giant breed male dogs. Butch is neutered, vaccinated,
dewormed and microchipped and comes with one month's dose of Frontline
Plus and Heartguard Plus and will have a health exam prior to going to
his new home for current assessment of heart issues.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Butch, a San Fernando Valley Dogue de Bordeaux dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dogue de Bordeaux for sale in San Fernando Valley, or seeking a Dogue de Bordeaux dog from a breeder in San Fernando Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Fernando Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Fernando Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dogue de Bordeaux breeders who help with Dogue de Bordeaux rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Fernando Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
