Saint's Story...
Boxer mix pups (various) (Saint only pup left)
My name is Saint and me and my siblings were rescued from a kill shelter in south Louisiana right before we were to be euthanized! We were with another local rescue organization for a while and were very sick with some kind of nasty internal parasite. They spent a lot of money to make us all better… but I almost died. I was on i.v. fluids (that’s where you see my wee little leg shaved). The vet finally cleared us all and now we are at Pet Savers’ shelter and ready for adoption. We are about 9 weeks old as of 2/2/11, and boxer mixes of some sort. We are all kind of on the small size for being 9 weeks old and being boxer mixes… so, it could be that we’ll be on the smaller-side of medium when we grow all up. There are 2 males and 3 females. One of us is tan and white and rest are tan with some white and/or black. We are all UTD on shots and ready for adoption. If you’d like to apply to adopt one of us, please e-mail petsavers@bellsouth.net. Pet Savers’ shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Saint, a Haughton Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Haughton, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Haughton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Haughton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Haughton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Haughton paves the way for another one to be saved.
