Selina--PETSMART's Story...
UPDATE--You can now meet Selena in person at the Muncie PetSmart!! Selena is a great gal. Her approximate date of birth is May 2006. She was adopted from our program in October 2006, but just returned to us in March 2011 due to her adopters having financial problems. Her original adopters had her front declawed. She is very playful and, as you can see, acts quite silly at times! She does well with older children (hides from young ones), does well with other cats and with dogs. She is a big girl, weighing about 15 pounds but she wears it well! She is handling the stress of having her whole world turned upside down quite well and she is ready to love and be loved by a new family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Selina--PETSMART, a Muncie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Muncie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Muncie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Muncie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Muncie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Muncie paves the way for another one to be saved.
