Tyler's Story...
Meet Tyler, a hairless, female and purebred Chinese Crested. Having been on the road doing beauty shows for a couple of years, her trainer decided the stress was too much and so Tyler was retired and is now looking for her forever home. She is 6 years old and a bit shy, but once you show her attention, she’ll become your lap buddy. She is approximately 10 pounds and would need to be groomed about every 8 weeks to keep her sleek look. Her adoption fee is $300, which covers her spay, shots, license for one year in San Diego, and microchip registration for her lifetime. If you are interested in this delightful beauty please send in your completed application found on our web site to www.RescueAChi.com. You can also check out our calendar of events on the web site to see where our next adoption event will be to meet Tyler in person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tyler, a San Diego Chinese Crested dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chinese Crested for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chinese Crested dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chinese Crested breeders who help with Chinese Crested rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
