Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Irby is an utterly adorable, shy, sweet, snugly, playful and loving, eight-month-old, 35-pound, male, Shih Tzu/Border-Collie-mix puppy looking for a loving home. Irby was brought to a shelter in Bastrop, Texas. Unfortunately the shelter was overcrowded and Irby would have been euthanized if a Chicago animal lover hadn’t stepped up to foster him in her home. Irby’s human was a “dog-breeder” who bred Border Collies and Shih Tzus. When the two got together, he dropped off the unwanted puppies at a local shelter … I think Irby is a gorgeous hybrid! Irby is housebroken but has no formal training in commands yet, but will happily dance for treats. He loves other dogs his size or smaller, but he is tentative around larger dogs and men (but just at first). He quickly warms up. He is healthy, de-wormed, neutered, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested, and up-to-date on vaccines. His adoption fee of $250 benefits Alive Rescue. To meet and possibly adopt Irby, please fill out an adoption application at http://aliverescue.org/RP_Application.asp and you can follow up bye-mailing info@aliverescue.org
