Sonya's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Sonya's Story...
This is Sonya. She is a 5 to 6 yr old purebred female Miniature Dachshund. Sonya is only about 8 lbs - such a little girl. She likes to be held and sit in your lap. She plays pretty well with other small breed foster dogs we have. Sonya rides well in the car and walks well on a leash too. She is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Sonya is crate trained as well. We are not sure how she is with cats, but a meet and greet will tell us more. She is also heart worm negative. This friendly little sweet heart is looking for a loving home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonya, a Tracy Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Tracy, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Tracy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tracy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tracy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tracy paves the way for another one to be saved.
