Ginger & Morgan
Pair of Green Wing Macaws
fostered by Christy & Eric of Port Richey, FL

Morgan and Ginger are a bonded pair 14 year old Greenwing macaws. They are brother and sister from the same egg clutch and they are bonded and in the same cage.
Ginger is a very sweet bird, in fact, she goes to many community and adoption events with the rescue and handles things well. She is very easy to handle and a good eater. She is also the more dominant of the two birds. She talks a lot and goes through an entire conversation every evening that last for about 20 minutes, it is very funny to listen to!
At first, Morgan was more stand offish and was not handelable, it turned out that he just needed some time to get used to his new environment and to fell safe with his foster parents. I have been fostering these two birds for 3 months now and Morgan is a totally different bird now. He will now step up for me from the inside of his cage and put his beak up against my mouth for me to give him a kiss. They both are very sweet birds. They say Green Wings are gently giants and these two live up to that saying. They are going to make great additions to your home, but will require a family with large bird experience. Morgan is going to need time and patience to gain trust and form a bond with you. I have fallen in love with these two Macaws, I have to say they have been my favorite fosters thus far!
