Maverick's Info...

Maverick's Story...
Maverick is a handsome 2 year old male Great Pyrenees who will be 3 years old in July. He was a little thin at 76 pounds, but has been gaining weight in foster care and is now up to 102 pounds. Maverick gets along very well with the foster family’s female Great Pyr and they play nicely together! Maverick is very gentle around people and kids. Maverick takes a little time to get used to new surroundings, but he adjusts. Maverick came to us with his brother after living outside in the country for about a year. Maverick walks well on a leash and has a clever way of getting you to play with him. He has a crazy side to side hop followed by a dash away which means you are supposed to follow him!

Maverick respects the foster family’s fencing. He is house trained, neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots. He is heart worm negative and on Frontline. Maverick would do well placed with a female dog or by himself, but he would not likely be happy living with another male.

An adoption application, site visit, adoption fee and secure visible fencing are required to adopt Maverick.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maverick, a Minneapolis Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
