Cheesecake's Story...
Cheesecake and her siblings were born on 3/2/11...they got really lucky! Their mom, Shakira (third picture shown), was found just a week before roaming around the neighborhood of one of our fosters. Of course, we didn't know she was pregnant (very) at first. Luckily, we got her to the vet and they confirmed it. Now, the pups are almost 8 weeks old and that point they will be ready for adoption. We have also taken DNA samples to see what breeds they are...because it's pretty hard to tell. Shakira is a terrier of some sort...but who knows what dad is! All the pups are very playful, rambunctious and smart. Oh so cuddly and soft to the touch. They love for you to get down to their level and play. They know the crate is their sleeping quarters and not for potty but sometimes still prefer to sleep outside in the pen/play area. Cheesecake is plump and has a stubby 'christmas tree' tail. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cheesecake, a Encino Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Encino, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
