Wally's Story...
Wally is a charming, laid back young tabby adult male who is always happy to see visitors. He gets along well with everyone; people and fellow cats alike. He was rescued from a neglectful situation, but is friendly, sociable and well mannered. He sometimes acts as a “Dad” to the younger cats, and is often seeing grooming them. As Wally has always lived with other cats, he would probably do best in a home where there are other cats, like his absolute best friend, Venus.

To meet Wally, please visit him at our cat adoptions room at Bowdog (6909 Farrell Rd SE), which is open from 2.00 - 4.00pm every Sunday, or call (403) 671-8665 for an appointment.
Please visit http://www.poundrescue.com/adoptions/adoption-process to find out more about our adoption process and fees, or to fill out an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wally, a Okotoks Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
