My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Uriah, but you can call me Uri for short. I’m a one year old beagle boy. My foster mom keeps telling me how sweet and cute I am, so I guess it must be true!

I get along great with everyone at my foster home, but I am really looking forward to getting situated in my furever home!

I have one older beagle brother here and we get along quite well. I keep to myself and I’m not much of a bother. For the most part, I’m a quiet boy, not too vocal. I’m a low to mid energy beagle. Don’t get me wrong, if you want to go for a walk I’ll be right there with you, but I also like to curl up and sleep.

My favorite things to do are chewing on bones and spend time outside in the fresh spring air! I do like to follow a good scent, so I would be best at a house with a fenced in yard so that I can spend lots of time outside exploring. I’m used to spending at least a few hours a day in a crate while mom and dad go to work, but I don’t mind at all.

I’m great with kids too! I have a human foster brother who is twelve and we have fun together. He has to remember not to leave anything lying around that he doesn’t want me to think is mine, because I am a very curious. He lets me hang out in his room and sometimes I even sleep in there at night.

Speaking of sleep, I sleep great through the night and I can be a cuddlier when I’m in the right mood!!!I haven’t been going in my crate at night at my foster home. I think mom feels guilty I’m in there during the day, so she cuts me some slack and lets me sleep wherever I want!

I’m still working on perfecting this potty training thing, but seem to be getting the hang of it.

Overall, I’d like to think I have pretty good manners. I’m on the shorter side, so counter surfing really isn’t my thing.

Won’t you please consider making me a part of your family as I have lots of love to give!!!
